Adam Kirrander (Senior Lecturer in Chemical Physics, University of Edinburgh) and
his collaborators have been awarded the 2021 Horizon Prize by the Royal Society of
Chemistry for their work on ultrafast scattering.

Adam Kirrander is a Natural Sciences Fellow in residence at SCAS during the academic
year 2021-22.

Shalini Randeria (Professor of Social Anthropology and Sociology, the Graduate
Institute Geneva, and former Rector, Institut für die Wissenschaften vom Menschen,
Vienna) has been appointed Rector and President of the Central European University in
Vienna/Budapest. She took office on 1 August 2021.

Shalini Randeria is a former Member of the SCAS Pro Futura Scientia Selection Committee.
